Job Summary:
Pediatric Recovery Room Nursing (PACU PEDS) Located in Madison, Wisconsin, this position involves providing specialized peri-anesthetic care for complex pediatric surgical and procedural patients. The nurse will manage a varied case load in a state-of-the-art facility, focusing on patient safety and comfort in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to accommodate different shift schedules.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: WI Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact license, at least 2 years of pediatric Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) experience within the last 3 years, and Epic electronic charting system experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, community hospital experience, trauma center experience, and bedside patient ratio experience.
• Certifications: BLS, PALS.
• Additional Information:
  • At least 2 years of pediatric PACU experience required.
  • Must pass Telemetry test prior to start; passing criteria include 80% on adult and pediatric cardiac rhythm recognition exams, with two attempts allowed.
  • Traveler will be required to float as needed.
  • Minimum experience: Inpatient RN with two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty they are submitting to.
  • No on-call required; the role involves caring for pediatric patients including neonates, adolescents, infants, and adults.
