Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Mobile Patrol Driver in Windsor, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving post requires a valid driver's license and offers the opportunity to provide exceptional customer service and communication while working with a reliable, caring team that acts with integrity.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time Wed 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM

Thur 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM

Sat 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and other authorized individuals while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, parking areas, and access points to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verify credentials, maintain visitor and vehicle logs, and report unusual activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required records related to patrols, incidents, access-control activities, and other assigned duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
